A pain in the b ... back!
This week has been a lot slower than last - because I couldn't move! I've spent the week recovering from damage to ligaments in my back from the final week of training for the show. CJ has so kindly put a pic in the Skating On Thin Ice Blog of me getting a painful massage in the final show.
I have to say it was worth it though, with the night being such a wonderful experience that I am honored to have been a part of. Disney tells such magical stories and getting to play a role in The Little Mermaid is something I'll never forget.
I did have a couple of tumbles during the final performance (thanks again CJ for publishing pics of me falling over!!), but the audience were very forgiving of us - the novice skaters.
More next week when i've recovered ;p

Hi Imogen
I am an adult skater in Melbourne and wanted to congratulate you on your efforts at taking to the ice and performing with Disney. I know what you went through because I have been there (but have now done it for 12 years).
I thoroughly enjoyed the series and you would not believe how many people are skating in Melbourne due to the popularity of the show - and we only have one rink. In fact skating now seems too popular.
You all did a fantastic job. I thought you and all the celebrities could teach a thing or two to some of our skaters about smiling on the ice when performing. You all looked like you had a ball.
Hey if you are ever in Melbourne why not come and skate with us at the Olympic Ice Skating Centre.
Best wishes and keep skating
Regards
Kim
